Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast

A chopper flying over a popular coastal beach abruptly commenced twirling out of control, finally descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm groves as spectators looked on.

Footage uploaded on the internet depict the helicopter starting to spin above the shoreline then falling in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.

First Aid Information

Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on that day.

Three persons on the street were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.

The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
